Alien: Isolation gathers the original Alien cast together for a look back at what made the sci-fi film so memorable in the first place.
When it was originally revealed that Alien: Isolation’s DLC packages would find players stepping into the shoes of characters from the original sci-fi classic film, fans were overjoyed. Seeing these actors and actresses in action yet again was a beautiful thing, and now Sega and The Creative Assembly have released a new video featuring the cast chatting about their involvement in Alien: Isolation as well as the film’s legacy.
It’s exciting to see such a star-studded cast reuniting for something like this, especially since it’s a completely different media venture. In a world where we’re lucky to see the same voice actors or soundalikes reprising their roles in familiar licensed endeavors, the fact that Sigourney Weaver and the rest of the crew are around to talk about the game, let alone create a supplemental video, is awesome.
Alien: Isolation is releasing October 7 of this year for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC. It will follow Ellen Ripley’s daughter Amanda fifteen years after the original events that unfolded in the original Alien film. The game itself is shaping up to be a much more impressive effort than that of Aliens: Colonial Marines, a nearly universal failure, and it’s poised to bring the science fiction masterpieces to light again after all these years. Hopefully it’ll scare the bejeezus out of us, too.
Are you going to pick up Alien: Isolation on day one, or were you burned by Sega’s past promises? What do you think about the additional DLC scenarios? Necessary or a marketing ploy? Whatever the case may be, let us know in the comments below or join the discussion on the GEEK Facebook page!
