Whedon’s Much Ado About Nothing Trailer – Whedon-ite Dream Cast Assemble!

If you've been a Joss Whedon fan before he assembled the Avengers, odds are that Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Dollhouse, or Firefly hold a special place in your heart, as do its many characters and the actors who portrayed them.

Of course, if you are a hardcore Whedon-ite, you already know that Joss has been working on a little labor of love called Much Ado About Nothing, a modern day set retelling of the classic Shakespeare play, but with all of the original dialogue intact. It takes a little getting used to, but in the hands (or from the mouths) of so many talented actors like Nathan Fillion, Amy Acker, Alexis Denisoff, Clark Gregg, Reed Diamond, Tom Lenk, Fran Kranz, and countless other Whedon production alumni, it quickly feels natural. As natural as an odd Joss Whedon directed project could ever hope to be.

So here’s your chance to check out the first official trailer for the film, due June 21st. This little black and white indie is a million miles away from Whedon’s 2012 blockbuster, but here’s hoping it does even half as well at the box office. Wouldn’t it be astounding to see a Shakespeare film play to a wider audience than the puffy shirt and drama camp crowd?

Also, technically, Joss is now on Twitter officially for the first time! Follow him and the film at @MuchAdoFilm.
