Wizard World premiered its very first Anaheim Comic-Con at the Anaheim Convention Center April 16-18th. The show floor was chock full of vendors, comic artists, and celebrities signing autographs the entire weekend (Stan Lee, William Shatner, Verne Troyer, Jewel Staite, Mickey Rooney, Ed Asner, Billy Dee Williams, and lots more!). Various cars from geek legend, old and new, were also scattered about the hall, including the 60s Batmobile, the Back to the Future Delorean, the Mad Max Ford Falcon Interceptor, and the brand new Mistmobile from Kick-Ass. A selection of panels focusing on comics and other popular media stretched over the 3 day event. Fans came from all over, many in costume, to take in the event, shop for rare collectibles, pose for pictures, play games, get autographs, and drink way too many energy drinks with a bodily fluid derived theme.
Yeah, I know it’s taken me a week to write this up, even though I’ve not said a whole lot. I figure I’ll let the video and pictures speak for me…
